Dr. Elad Carmel
Dr. Elad Carmel is a postdoctoral fellow at the Humphrey Center in 2018–19. He specialises in the history of political thought, focusing on the political and religious thought of Thomas Hobbes and the reception of his ideas by later thinkers, especially the English deists. Dr. Carmel holds a BA and an MA in Political Science from Tel Aviv University and a DPhil in Political Theory from the University of Oxford. He was a lecturer in the department of multidisciplinary studies at Sapir College and a Lady Davis postdoctoral fellow at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
