Ben-Gurion University of the Negev and the Mandel Foundation founded a leading program for a Master's degree in Business Administration majoring in Social Leadership. The program trains and promotes leaders for non-profit organizations in Israel. We believe that social leadership requires a combination of knowledge and advanced management skills and developed leadership skills and a deep commitment to a social mission. The program offers a unique curriculum that combines management training, leadership studies and social issues studies. The studies enable the graduates to gain an in-depth understanding of the roles of society in a modern democratic country.
The program emphasizes the group as a resource and the creation of mutual commitment of the group members in the learning process, and the curriculum is equally divided between advanced courses in business administration, which provide students with the knowledge of management, as is customary in any business administration program, and among other courses that focus on the areas of the third sector.
