Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU) is the fastest growing research university in Israel. It has 20,000 students, over 5,000 staff and faculty members, and three campuses in Beer-Sheva, Sede Boqer and Eilat. With faculties in Engineering Sciences; Health Sciences; Natural Sciences; Humanities and Social Sciences; Business and Management; and Desert Studies, the University is a recognized national and global leader in many fields, actively encouraging multi-disciplinary collaborations with government and industry, and nurturing entrepreneurship and innovation in all its forms.

The remarkable achievements of BGU scientists in research and development, and the extraordinary achievements of students and alumni in their studies and in the job market post-graduation, are at least in part due to advanced research and teaching infrastructures and ideal study condition. More than anything, however, it is because of the unique way in which people live, study, and work at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. An open and friendly environment combines with originality and forward-thinking to encourage researchers and students to be creative in the advancement of science, culture and society, and to make real breakthroughs in their research.

In line with its mission to drive development in the Negev, the University also plays a key role in the advancement of society, industry, agriculture and education throughout the region.
