The Department of Politics and Government specializes in interdisciplinary research of political phenomena in their various manifestations. The department's faculty members focus on conventional areas of study in political science, but also on political sociology, political history, cultural studies, and geopolitics. In our view, the fusion of different bodies of knowledge alongside the effort to anchor political research in political events and processes are essential when addressing basic questions pertaining to justice, equality, power, governance and citizenship and for formulating worthy public policy.
