The main goal of our curriculum is to expand our students’ knowledge and understanding of Jewish History. Toward this end, we not only teach facts and dates, but also introduce our students to ways of thinking and research methods that uncover the complex configurations and variegated hues of the past. Jewish History, as we teach it, is not simply a narrative or set of narratives, but rather a learning process, a program of research and interpretation through which we elicit history from the remnants of the past.
Our curriculum opens windows onto the past and provides our students with reasoning tools and writing skills that serve them well in the future.
