Department researchers are world leaders on such topics as Jewish philosophy in the Middle Ages, the Talmud, Midrash, and Hassidism.
Researchers cooperate with other universities in Israel and abroad. For example, they are currently engaged in a project with Cambridge University on global theosophical centers and another with Haifa University on the Jewry of Galicia.
