H.E. Cai Run, Chinese Ambassador to Israel, visited BGU on Dec. 19th, 2022.
The Ambassador met with President, Prof. Daniel Chamovitz, and VP for Global Engagement, Prof. Limor Aharonson-Daniel and was presented with the strong ecosystem built around BGU, the challenges due to climate change, and the various opportunities to secure the future by using energy efficiently. During the meeting, means for strengthening the academic relation between BGU and different universities in China were brought up.
Following the meeting, the Ambassador visited BGU's Sdeh-Boker campus, where he was presented with BGU's research in the fields of desert agriculture, water and energy.
