Each Team is assigned a Lead Advisor who meets with them regularly and is charged with tracking their progress, receiving Team monthly updates, and communicating with the rest of the Advisor group if a Team has an ask or challenge.

Unfettered Access

Additionally, the Teams have direct access to the entire Advisory Board and are encouraged to contact them directly for any questions on strategy, business model, funding, team, or anything else relevant to a burgeoning startup.

One-to-One Mentoring

Many Advisors hold professional office hours at NHSA, offering Teams the opportunity to meet one-on-one on topics such as brand identity, design development, employment law, financial management, funding, intellectual property, and product development.

Eric Benhamou, Benhamou Global Ventures

After nearly 30 years spent building or running high technology companies, I created BGV to assist other entrepreneurs to build or run a new generation of high technology companies. I will continue to put my own financial and time capital at risk. I will coach, but will not be a consultant. I will invest my time and experience at the service of the CEO and the company first, and its investors second. I will teach but will learn as well. I will insist on upholding the highest standards of governance and the best management principles and techniques but will take myself seriously only some of the time.

Dr. Yonah Alexandre Bronstein, ASTAV Inc.

Yonah Alexandre Bronstein founded ASTAV on July 03 to fight identity fraud and other Internet abuse and leads it as President & CTO. Previous 5 years were spent as a senior scientist at HP Labs, focusing on Internet systems. He received a BS in mathematics, MS and Ph.D. in computer science, from Stanford University, and an RC (reality check) from 6 years in Silicon Valley start-ups.  His main career trophies are having led the 1st port of the Microsoft NT operating system to the DEC workstations, and gotten ASTAV from birth to 1000+ paying users of our Identity Fraud Protection technology! His personal interests span from Jewish mysticism to Aikido.

Andrzej Cetnarski, Managing Partner and Founder, Cyber Frontiers LLC.

Andrzej Cetnarski is a cyber ​secure nation-building-focused global CEO, public-private partnership leader, advisor, investor, speaker, and author. He is Founder and Managing Partner of Cyber Frontiers, LLC, a private- and government-sector, executive-leadership-level-focused cybersecurity strategy advisory, research, and investment firm with a mission of helping drive the creation of cyber-secure renditions of our physical nations for the United States and its allies. Ethel Chait Stein, Ethel Chait Stein, LLM (Magna Cum Laude)

Ethel has over 30 years experience as an attorney both in Israel and New York, specializing in Intellectual Property Rights, Commercial law, Aart law, and Entrepreneurship. Ethel is also a lecturer at BGU and other institutions, as well as a mediator and an executive and business coach.

Dr. Imrich Chlamtac, President of EAI.

Dr. Chlamtac is the President of EAI, the European Alliance for Innovation, and the  Founding President of CREATE-NET.  Earlier Dr.  Chlamtac served as Associate Provost for Research and Distinguished Chair in Telecommunications at the University of Texas in Dallas, the top-ranked USA “young university" in The Times of Higher Education ranking. 
Other appointments included Chaired Professorships at the University of  Trento, Boston University, University of Massachusetts and Technion. Dr.  Chlamtac holds IEEE and ACM Fellowships, the ACM Award for Outstanding  Contributions to Research on Mobility, the IEEE Award for  Outstanding  Technical Contributions to Wireless Personal Communications. Dr. Chamtac was listed in ISIHighlyCited.Com among the 250  most cited Computer Science researchers worldwide.

Dr. Chlamtac is a  co-founder and past President of CONSIP Ltd, the first network emulator company, BCN USA 
specializing in DoD projects and of BCN Ltd which evolved into one of the larger information and communication technology companies in Europe. At the University of  Texas,​ Dr.  Chlamtac co-founded 
an incubator dedicated to university technology transfer. At Create-Net he introduced innovation management and acceleration programs with funding and collaboration with the European Commission.

Netta Cohen, BGN

Appointed CEO of BGN in 2004, Netta Cohen has significantly increased the University's technology transfer programs, creating relationships with international corporations around the world. In the fields of information systems and communications, BGU now has relationships with global powerhouses such as Deutsche Telekom, EMC, IBM, PayPal, and many others. On the Bio-pharma domain, a number of BGU patented technologies are now in clinical trials and hope to be in the marketplace in the future. Prior to joining BGN, Mr. Cohen was VP of Pharma-Israel, The Multinational Pharmaceutical Companies Association. Previously, he was the Director of Finance & BizDev for Novartis Consumer Health and Gerber Baby Food at its regional offices. He began his managerial career at Kibbutz Harish, where he served as its General Manager. Mr. Cohen currently sits on the boards of several privately-held start-up companies. He also sits on the boards of Deutsche Telekom Innovation Labs at BGU, Capital Nature, Inno-Negev and CDI digital health. CEO and founder, U First Capital, Dr. Ekta Dang has been a successful Corporate Executive, Speaker and Writer in Silicon Valley for almost two decades. She is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of U First Capital which provides Venture Capital as a Service to mid-size and large Corporations. Ekta has solid experience both in Venture Capital and on Operating side at Intel. She has driven investment deals in several areas (eCommerce, Security, IoT, etc). She is a seasoned Industry Executive with over 15 years of experience in Product, Business Development and Venture Capital.   Dr. Sanjit Singh Dang, U First Capital

Dr. Sanjit Singh Dang has been a successful Venture Capitalist, Corporate Executive, Board Member, Speaker and Writer in Silicon Valley for almost two decades. He is currently the Co-Founder and Chairman of U First Capital. They provide Venture Capital as a Service to Corporations by bringing Startups, University IP, etc in the Corporate's specific areas of interest (dedicated model). Prior to that, he was at Intel Capital where he had an excellent track record of driving 1 Exit every year: DocuSign (IPO 2018), Body Labs (AI startup, Acquired by Amazon in 2017 within 2 years of leading Series A investment), Voke (Acquired by Intel in 2016 within 7 months of leading Series A investment), Maginatics (acquired by DELL EMC in 2015 within 1 year of leading investment) and Basis Science (Acquired by Intel in 2014 within 1 year of investment). Sanjit has over a decade of Exec leadership experience in Product Design, Business Development and Strategy across several domains: Big Data, Natural Language Processing, 3D Camera/Apps, Supply-Chain Analytics and Flash Memory. He has managed $2Bill/year accounts and executed >30 partnership deals in $100M-$2Bill range. Always striving to be ahead of the curve, Sanjit worked on Big Data Analytics before industry created the term 'Big Data'. Paul de Souza, Cyber Security Forum Initiative (CSFI)

Mr. Paul de Souza is the co-author of the book Strategic Intelligence Management (National Cyber Defense Strategy), he serves as an advisor for the Military Cyber Professionals Association (MCPA), and he is a recipient of the Order of Thor Medal. Paul serves as a Centre of Excellence in Terrorism, Resilience, and Intelligence & Organized Crime Research (CENTRIC) Visiting Researcher at Sheffield Hallam University in the UK, Guest Lecturer at The Swedish Defence University (SEDU) Försvarshögskolanand, Institute of World Politics (IWP) Board of Advisors for The Cyber Intelligence Initiative (CII) in Washington, DC, and served as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS) Israel – Cyber Security and Military & Strategic Affairs Programs, completed the Executive Certificate Program in Counter-Terrorism Studies from IDC Herzliya, Israel. Prof. Shlomi Dolev, BGU and SDO

Chair Professor and founder of the Department of Computer Science of Ben-Gurion University. Served as Faculty of Natural Sciences Dean, Chair of the Board of the Inter-University Computation Center. Currently Chair of the Computer Science Discipline Committee in the Ministry of Education of Israel. Over three hundred publications in computer science, distributed computing, networks, cryptography, security, optical computing, brain science, and machine learning. Author of the Self-stabilization book published by MIT press. Collaborated with Deutsche Telekom, IBM, Intel, DELL EMC, Orange, and others. Gili Elkin, Israel-Colorado Innovation Fund and Innosphere

Gili is a General Partner of Israel – Colorado Innovation Fund, investing in Israeli startups in the water/energy/transportation sectors and connecting them with the US market through Innosphere, a leading technology incubator in Colorado. Gili is active in promoting the business collaboration between Israel and Colorado by facilitating the conversation between two governments. She has initiated the Israel – US Water Initiative – a platform that accelerates the import of Israeli water technologies to the US with the goal of helping US water utilities face the challenges of water scarcity. Dana Gavish-Fridman, BGU

As VP Entrepreneurship at Ben Gurion University and its commercial arm - BGN Technologies-, Dana Gavish Fridman serves as a unique focal point to the flourishing ecosystem of the city of Beer Sheva, that connects between the academy, business partners, startups, VCs and multinationals. In her previous role, Ms. Gavish-Fridman was VP Marketing at Yissum, the Hebrew University Technology Transfer company, for over twelve years. She was responsible for overall strategic marketing and PR activities and has successfully brought early-stage scientific inventions to commercialization with local and international business partners. Gavish-Fridman was also responsible for business development activities related to technologies in the fields of Chemistry, Nanotechnology, and Physics. Prior to joining Yissum in 2004, Ms. Gavish-Fridman spent seven years as a producer at Israel's Channel 2 television news, Associated Press Television, and Fox News. Ben Gilad, Tata Consultancy Services

Head of Co-Innovation Network (COIN) UK, Europe and Israel, Tata Consultancy Services. Ben was appointed in 2014 to lead Tata Consultancy Services Co-Innovation Network, a group of the Corporate Technology Office, in Europe and Israel. He is responsible for facilitating partnerships and collaborations with academic institutions and startups from the Israeli and European technology and innovation eco-systems. Focusing on IoT, Big Data, AI, Cloud, Machine Learning, Cyber Security and Fintech technologies, these partnerships are designed to yield cooperation with innovative technology vendors to widen TCS's offering while delivering on the commitment of TCS to its customers – Experience Certainty. Ben held varied management positions both in domestic and international technology companies, small and large, along his career. Rafi Glick Senior Teaching Associate and Mentor at the Guilford Glazer Faculty of Business and Management, the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Israel.​  Rafi Glick has gained​​ extensive experience in the Hi-Tech area, as a partner in an international high-speed fiber optics communications infrastructure company(CableRunner,  acquired in 2009 by Telecom  Austria), as a AVP at Eci Telecom and lightScape Networks,  as a board member of the Hi-Tech Technological Incubator in Jerusalem, managed by  Eci Telecom, Intel, Teva and Jerusalem Municipality Economical development Co.  Rafi worked as Senior Director and head of Industrial and Data Bases Divisions in The "Israel Export Institute", A governmental owned organization for promoting the Israeli Hi-Tech and  Industries companies  Globally,  and contributed to the infrastructures and ecosystems of Hi Teach and Technological Industries in its early days.   Mr. Glick developed "Applied Courses and Work Shops"  based on years of experience in Business, Hi-Tech, and Governmental Affairs as well as 14 years of teaching in the Ben Gurion University of the Negev and other Universities and Colleges in Israel and abroad and recently he collaborated with Sofia University and the new Tech-Park in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Dr. Barak Katz, AntisepTech

Dr. Barak Katz is the founder and CEO of AntisepTech, a digital health startup in the field of Hospital Acquired Infections prevention and elderly quality care. Barak has deep subject matter expertise in optics, holography, optical noise suppression, error-reduction, and 3D imaging. Barak graduated from Ben Gurion University, Beer Sheva, Israel, with a B.Sc. in Computer and Communications Systems Engineering (CSE-BGU), an M.Sc. in Electro-Optics Engineering and a PhD. in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Barak is named on tens of different scientific publications and several patents related to optical, light and visual systems.

Adi Levanon, Symmetrical Ventures

Adi has a myriad of experience in the global entrepreneurial eco-system, from the investment side to business and legal operations. She has been on the investments team at early-stage venture capital funds in both the US and Israel, focusing mainly in the areas of fintech, enterprise SaaS, media, and direct-to-consumer startups, with a deep interest in artificial intelligence and computer vision technologies. Prior to her roles as an investor, Adi joined Conduit, the first Israeli internet company valued at over $1B in 2013. Gideon Levit, Partner in Shavit Bar-On Gal-On T​​zin Witkon, Law offices is an Israeli attorney with substantive corporate expertise, primarily in the high-tech industry. Gideon has been advising various private & ​​public tech companies since early 2000, on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters, including M&As, private equity financing (internal and external rounds), technology licensing and other ancillary activities. Gideon has also been involved in major cross border projects related to the energy (oil exploration, solar energy, etc.), and the health care sectors (construction, management and operation of private medical centers). Erin Margolis, CSFI 

Erin founded and was CEO of unique game development agency Game Dev House which has 65 industry professionals who teach and run game development workshops. The firm was originally inspired by tactical gaming, and training international youth in digital development during the time she was a lead instructor at Harvard iD tech Games Academy and instructing at Princeton. She recently had the pleasure of creating guidelines for an interactive game at the Tower of David (Jerusalem Citidel) for young people with cognitive disabilities, which will also serve the general public. Erin became active in IT fieldwork after the natural disaster SuperStorm Sandy in 2012 and was a computer technician at over 200 banks, hospitals, and offices in the tri-state area in the US doing repairs and upgrades and was a preferred technician for Wells Fargo Advisors and BB&T. A career highlight was being a behind the scenes person in maintaining back up banking systems to be up to date and ready to run in the event of natural disasters and emergencies, serving both in the New York financial district and Wall St., with their respective locations in NJ. Her mission is to support growth in all things cyber, technical, and communications related, especially bringing synergistic groups together and forming win-win alliances.  Besides being a contractor in cybersecurity training, she is a writer, editor, and strategic business planner with an interest in cyber warfare and CT operations. Erin is honored to be actively involved in the Negev Hi-Tech Faculty Startup Accelerator at Ben Gurion University as well as an Israel CSFI (Cyber Security Forum Initiative) fellow.

Hagai Ortner, Magna BSP

Hagai Ortner is currently acting as a business development consultant and marketing director for several organizations in the start-up Eco-system of the Negev. Yaron Rosenbaum, Iris Capital Management

Yaron is a passionate technologist, entrepreneur, and hi-tech manager who joined Iris Capital in 2016, in order to manage Iris Capital’s activities in Israel. Before joining Iris Capital, Yaron founded two startups and successfully executed a turnaround and an exit in a third startup as its VP Engineering. In his last corporate position, Yaron served as a GM of Cordys Israel and VP Collaborative Engineering, gaining precious experience in business development and managing international teams. Dr. Harry J. Saal, Retrotope Inc.

Dr. Harry J. Saal was the founder and CEO of Network General Corporation, the first company wholly dedicated to the area of network diagnostics and the creator of the eponymous "Sniffer" network analyzer. From 2002, he served as Chairman of the Technical Committee charged with monitoring and enforcing the Microsoft Antitrust case through the May 2011 expiration of the Judgment. Most recently, he is the Chair of Retrotope, Inc. a pharmaceutical startup, based in Silicon Valley. He has served as Director of several private and publicly traded high technology firms. He currently serves on the boards of the American Institute of Mathematics, Numenta, Inc., FedArb, Inc., and more. Ernst & Young named Dr. Saal the Bay Area 1990 Software Entrepreneur of the Year and he is also the recipient of the ADL Torch of Liberty Award, the ACM/Computer Museum 1994 Computer Bowl MVP, and the JNF Tree of Life Award.

Dr. Dan Touitou, Bonotec

Dan is a leading entrepreneur and an avid technology strategist with over twenty years in the network security and distributed systems domains. He co-founded Riverhead Networks a DDoS protection company which was later acquired by Cisco. In Cisco, Dan was the first in Israel to be ranked  Distinguished Engineer. After Cisco, he was nominated CTO at Huawei Technologies. There he leads research on 5G,  the next-generation mobile network. In addition, Dan is also active in the exciting cryptocurrency entrepreneurship world and the opportunities it presents. Having spent decades of technology leadership roles in startups as well as in large corporations is instrumental to Dan in advising newly created startups on their market strategy. Dan received a BSc in Computer Sciences from the Technion and an MA and Ph.D. in Computer Sciences from Tel Aviv University.  He is the winner of the distinguished 2012 Dijkstra Prize for the introduction and first implementation of Software Transactional Memory.

Prof. Jeffrey D. Ullman, Stanford Univ.

Jeffrey Ullman is a computer scientist and professor at Stanford University. His textbooks on compilers, the theory of computation, data structures, and databases are regarded as standards in their fields. Ullman received a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Mathematics from Columbia University in 1963 and his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Princeton University in 1966. He then worked for several years at Bell Labs. From 1969 to 1979 he was a professor at Princeton. Since 1979 he has been a professor at Stanford University, where he is currently the Stanford W. Ascherman Professor of Computer Science (Emeritus). In 1995 he was inducted as a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery and in 2000 he was awarded the Knuth Prize. Ullman is also the co-recipient (with John Hopcroft) of the 2010 IEEE John von Neumann Medal and co-recipient (with Al Aho and John Hopcroft) of the 2017 NEC C&C Foundation prize. Ullman's research interests include database theory, data integration, data mining, and education using the information infrastructure. He is one of the founders of the field of database theory and was the doctoral advisor of an entire generation of students who later became leading database theorists in their own right. He was the Ph.D. advisor of Sergey Brin, one of the co-founders of Google, and served on Google's technical advisory board. He is currently the CEO of Gradiance.
