The Department of Physical Therapy at the Leon and Mathilde Recanati School for Community Health Professions grants an academic 4-year Bachelor's (B.PT) degree. Our aim is to educate physical therapists who provide quality, professional and up-to-date care. In addition to training in physical therapy, our students receive a solid foundation in basic sciences, behavioral sciences, epidemiology and the principles of scientific research, empowering them to evaluate and assess ongoing clinical practice.
The Department of Physical Therapy also offers an innovative Master's (M.PT and Ms.PT) program that combines clinical and research training with the aim to educate physical therapists as advanced clinicians, researchers, and educators who are capable to promote the science of physical therapy, to influence current and emerging health care practices, and to advance the profession.
The department is dedicated to public service and aims to continue to develop programs that answer the needs of the field while maintaining the highest academic standards.
