Prof. Moshe Koppel

Bio:​ Professor Moshe Koppel is a member of the Department of Computer Science at Bar-Il​an University. His recent research has focused on text-related applications of machine learning, especially authorship attribution. He has published academic papers in leading journals in computer science, mathematics, linguistics, economics, law, political science and other disciplines. 

What Can We Know About an Anonymous Writer?​

Abstract​ Much of the text that is uploaded to the internet is posted anonymously or pseudonymously. But writing style gives away more than most people suspect. We will show how to determine an anonymously writer's gender, age, native language, personality traits, ideological and organizational affiliation and -- in some cases -- their actual identity.​
