Satellites housing sophisticated detection systems have revolutionized the earth sciences. The Remote-Sensing Laboratory of the Jacob Blaustein Institute for Desert Research is fielding- space and ground-based data to advance the study of desertification, forest health,ecosystems, and high-tech agriculture. Its work is providing valuable ecological insights for vegetation growing in Israel, Egypt, Mongolia and other areas.
