Bio-inspired Nano-carriers for Sub-Cellular Targeted Therapeutics
Nanoparticles are very promising for the intracellular delivery of anticancer, and metabolic drugs, biomolecules and cell activity modulators of all therapeutic classes including intracellular-targeted delivery of short interference RNA, proteins, DNA and small molecules. Our mission is to develop bio-inspired nano-carriers aimed at subcellular targeting of therapeutics. Uniquely, this program presents a comprehensive drug delivery approach that includes different aspects of new nano-carriers design, synthesis and characterization, intracellular trafficking, sub-cellular recognition, and localized cargo discharge. Using state of the art techniques with a strong interdisciplinary approach, we aim to bring the right drug to the right target. All of our participants, researchers, students and professors, in our focal technology area consortium are motivated to...
