We study how the brain control movements using behavioral and imaging (fMRI) experiments in human subjects. A central approach in our research is to investigate the computational and neurophysiological processes that are involved in learning to perform a new behavior. For example, we study how error-based and reinforcement learning affect performance and the connectivity between the Basal Ganglia, the Cerebellum and the motor cortex during the learning of a video game designed in the lab.

The lab is directed by Dr. Lior Shmuelof
