•The laboratory of Head Trauma is a part of the Basic Sciences Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, Soroka Medical Center, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
•It was founded by Prof. Yoram Shapira at 1991, since then, the laboratory was playing a big role in all the academic activities of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev.
•The main goal of the laboratory of Head Trauma to investigate the effect of Glutamate on brain .
•We were pioneers in the use of Blood Glutamate Scavengering in the treatment of brain injury.
