At this year's Board of Governor's Meeting we will mark the State of Israel's 70th anniversary. BGU's contributions to the nation will be celebrated throughout our various events.
On Sunday, May 6, we begin at 3:30 p.m., with preliminary events, including on and off campus tours, followed by a tour at the Negev Museum of Art and dinner hosted by Prof. Rivka Carmi. Other highlights include our opening session, the honorary doctoral degrees ceremony, lectures, exhibits, and much more.
On Wednesday, May 9, we will hold the closing gala at the Isrotel Hotel at the Dead Sea, following our visit to Sede Boqer.
After check-out on Thursday, guests are invited to stay for our optional program - Lunch and the first annual Governors' Lecture Series - The Israeli Puzzle: Perspectives on 70 Years Since Independence. This engaging series will be a thought-provoking take on what we know about Israel's brief yet powerful history.
Transportation to the airport and Tel-Aviv will be provided in the afternoon after the lectures.
