On Wednesday, June 8th a special gathering took place between Ben-Gurion students that returned this year from studying abroad and students who are going to be studying abroad during their first semester of the 2022-2023 academic year.

The main objective of the gathering, which was organized by BGU International, was to acquaint these two groups of students with each other and build a connection through sharing their experiences.

International students who arrived at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev as part of the exchange programs from various countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Greece, Poland and more were also invited. They spoke to the group about their home institutions and about the experience of being an exchange student in a foreign country.

“It is very exciting to see how enthusiastic students are about their academic experience abroad. I am pleased that the COVID-19 situation in the world currently allows us to continue to promote the program and see growth in the number of students interested in participating in the exchange program", said Laila Perelman-Soppi, director of student mobility for BGU International.

Events like these contribute to the expansion of the international community that already exists at Ben-Gurion thanks to the student exchange program and other programs that welcome hundreds of students from all over the world to our university.
