​​Shmuel Dovrat has been appointed Ben-Gurion University of the Negev's new spokesperson. Next month he will replace Amir Rozenblit, who is retiring after 25 years as spokesperson.

Dovrat has a wealth of experience as a spokesperson and public relations specialist in the public and private sectors, including in the arenas of education and academia. For the last five years, Dovrat has been a senior client manager at the PR firm Porter Novelli, part of the Gitam Group. There, he advised major organizations and companies, offering strategic consulting, public relations and crisis management, including to Tel Aviv University. Prior to Porter Novelli, Dovrat also served as head of Media Relations for Ariel University.
