Title: Incubation of Startup Companies from Idea to Sales

ABSTRACT: Entrepreneur, Founder, University-Researcher, Board-Member, How to Juggle it All? Being a university research professor and at the same time entrepreneur, founder and board member of start-up companies and a large company sounds like puzzling tasks. In this talk, first-hand stories and events will be discussed. The stories and test-cases will cover the spirit of entrepreneurship, what it means to being a co-founder, and how to select your partners. Who you should avoid and who should you join? The second part of the talk will be dedicated to the University – entrepreneurship professor conflict. Thoughts and suggestions to ease the process of university research commercialization will be discussed. The third part of the talk will be dedicated to the role of a board member in a different type of company, from gigantic companies to newborn startup companies.
