Congratulations to JameelClinic AI faculty lead by Prof. Barzilay Regina on being inducted into theNAEng! National Academy of Engineering . This immense professional achievement is awarded to those who have distinguished themselves through extraordinary technical accomplishments & leadership
Prof. Regina Barzilay completed her BSc and MSc in Computer Science at Ben Gurion University With Prof. Michael Elhadad as an advisor - she graduated in 2000. She then continued with a PhD at Columbia University and since then Regina has been a Professor at the MIT - she was awarded many prestigious prizes for her research - including the McArthur “genius” award. The National Academy of Engineering induction is the latest in the recognition of her leadership and extraordinary contribution to science.

Prof Barzilay remains a close friend of the department at BGU and contributes to our seminars and graduation ceremonies as one of our most celebrated alumni.
