The Scholarship, for excellent women who were accepted for international Post-Doctoral programs abroad, is awarded by Israel's Council for Higher Education.
Liat is concluding her Ph.D research under supervision of Prof. Gera Weiss, in which they developed methods and algorithms to approximate random variables. She is expected to travel this coming winter to Basel, Switzerland, for her postdoc position under supervision of Prof. Malte Helmert, one of the top researchers in the field of planning and reasoning. While in Switzerland, Liat will join a new project about learning for reasoners and planners, and reasoners and planners for learning.
Liat is among the only 20 national winners for this scholarship, from all universities in Israel, and among the only 4 winners from BGU. Way to go and Good Luck!
