The Department of Economics at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), with more than 20 full-time senior faculty, offers instruction at the undergraduate and graduate levels to around 800 students. Faculty members are actively engaged in cutting-edge research in a wide array of topics in economics, centered on microeconomics, macroeconomics, and empirical and policy analysis.
- A one year (12 months), full-time course based program in English taught by leading researchers in the department of economics.
- Providing its graduates with the basic skills for high-level research and administrative positions in both the public and private sectors, as well as an entry path to the best PhD programs in economics around the world.
- Coursework consisting of mandatory and elective courses, presenting the students with the opportunity to specialize in the fields that suit their interests and priorities (for example, Industrial Organization, Public Economics, Development Economics, Game Theory, Auctions and Contests, and Labor Economics*).
