The student, Mr. Amro Sweedan, completed his first two degrees at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. He finished his bachelor in Biology in 2009 with honors (Cum Laude), and the master in Nanotechnology in 2014 with excellence. In April 2019, Amro joined the Molecular interfaces lab (www.mil-sn.com) under the supervision of Dr. Muhammad Bashouti for a Ph.D. position. His research is focusing on the development of a new generation of Biosensor based plasmonic nanostructures. The biosensors can identify pests in the early infection stage to allow useful agricultural treatment at the right time. The research is in collaboration with Dr. Vered Tzin from the French Associates Institute for Agriculture and Biotechnology of Drylands.
