BASHUTI.jpgDr. Muhammad Y. Bashouti is now a Senior Lecturer (Assistant Professor), the head of the Molecular Interfaces Research Laboratory at the Environmental physics and solar energy department of the Jacob Blaustein Institutes for Desert Research, Sede-Boqer Campus, Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel. He got his B.Sc. in Chemistry with physics track at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem and Direct Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry in Technion-Israel Institute of Technology. After a short post-doctoral in Chemical engineering at Technion, he joined the material physics department at the Max-Planck for the Science of Light at Erlangen, Germany. He has published more than 40 papers in reputed journals (with ~1450 citations) and has been serving as an editorial board member of repute. His group includes 11 students from different disciplines (Physics, Chemistry & Engineering) and different countries (Germany, China, India, and Israel). His main top concerns related to interactions between molecules and surfaces for energy and sensing applications.
