Oelbaum_New President CABGU_1.png Mitchell is a partner and the Chief Operating Officer of Vector Financial Services Limited, a private mortgage brokerage and administrator located in Toronto. Previously, he worked as a retail investment advisor at both a boutique and bank-owned investment dealer before establishing his own consulting firm. Mitchell received an MBA from the Carroll School of Management, Boston College in 1991.

Mitchell's relationship with Ben-Gurion University goes back many years through his grandparents, who were early founders of this great institution, having become involved in the early 1970s, not too long after its founding. His late father, Ronald z"l, was president of both the Toronto Chapter and the National Board of Directors, and his mother, Annette, is a member of the current National Board of Directors and Board of Governors. Mitchell recalls asking his Bar Mitzvah guests to celebrate with him by making donations to a BGU childcare facility in 1976, and his own children have continued the tradition by asking their Bnei Mitzvah guests to consider supporting the University.

He lives in Toronto with his wife Naomi, 3 kids, 2 dogs and 3 rats. When he is not in lockdown and practicing social distancing, he likes to travel.
