Green for the Masses

What can you do to lead a greener life?

The Three R's

Reduce

Reduction in buying of products saves energy, natural resources and aids in preventing pollution during production of the product and reduces the amount of waste created after disposal of the product.

Reuse

A product should be used as much as possible before it's disposed of.  For example, the use of paper printed only on one side as scrap paper, or the use of an empty cheese container to store food leftovers. It's preferable to use reusable products than disposable ones, for example in using a cloth instead of a paper towel. Reuse reduces consumption and also the amount of waste as a result.

Recycle

A product which can no longer be used, such as bottles, paper, newspapers and the like should be disposed of in a recycling bin.
