Researchers at BGU's Guilford Glazer Faculty of Management (GGFBM) have published more articles in journals tracked by JCR
(Journal Citation Reports)
than any other Israeli management school for four consecutive years.

A recent study by Dr. Gil Avnimelech, an innovation researcher at Ono Academic College, utilized the JCR to track research outputs among Israeli business and management faculties. He was tracking them to determine the effect of the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions (BDS) movement.

Over a four year period from 2014-2017, GGFBM faculty published 219 articles in journals tracked by JCR. Tel Aviv University was first runner-up with 167 and the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was next with 147.

BGU researchers published 49 articles in 2014, 52 in 2015, 65 in 2016, and 53 in 2017.

“The data reflects consistent research productivity from the members of the Faculty across every year in the sample," Prof. Oded Lowengart, dean of the GGFBM said. “That is an unusual accomplishment, which reflects our commitment to academic quality and the serious and thorough work of every researcher in the faculty."

BGU President Prof. Rivka Carmi: “We are proud of this impressive achievement, which once again proves an academic leadership that promotes excellence can significantly change the reality."

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is published annually by Clarivate Analytics. It catalogues information about academic journals in the natural sciences and social sciences, including impact factors. It is based on citations compiled from the Science Citation Index Expanded and the Social Science Citation Index.
