The Israel Science Foundation is the main body supporting breakthrough basic science in Israel based on scientific excellence within the different fields of knowledge in a wide variety of funding opportunities. The average national success rate for being awarded an Individual Research Grant is 33%.

Researchers can apply for a variety of programs:

-     Individual Research Grants

-     New-Faculty Equipment Grants

-     F.I.R.S.T. (Bikura) Individual Grants

-     Centers of Excellence

-     Workshops

-     Research Grants in Quantum Technology and Science

Information regarding each of the programs can be found at ISF online, where every researcher who has not done so in the past must first open an account and then register for submission of proposals.

Opening an account at the Fund is NOT registration for submission.

Registration Deadline:
The deadlines for registration are listed in the table below. After these dates, it will no longer be possible to register new submissions, but only to continue to work on the previously registered submissions.

Submission Deadline at the RDA:
The deadlines for submission of proposals are listed in the table below.
Any proposals submitted to the RDA after the deadlines will not be checked by RDA staff and will be the responsibility of the researcher alone.
