TradeMarker - A technological solution developed by our very own Gal Oren, a doctoral student, and masters students Idan Mosseri and Matan Rusanovsky - was selected this year by Google as one of seven leading Artificial Intelligence innovations for social good.
TradeMarker is a machine learning based application that manages to recognize and distinguish similarities between a new trademark and those in the official trademarks database. The goal of the application is to optimize the work of the patent office as well as to make the process more accessible to citizens, as part of the Open Government doctrine. The tool was developed as part of the Students Leading Innovation 2018 program.
The three developers presented their work at Google headquarters and the Knesset Big Data conference last month, and now are heading to present TradeMarker in a joint United Nations & Google major conference targeting AI for social good. Trademarker is in its pilot stages in the Ministry of Justice, and is attracting attention from other ministries worldwide.
