​​​Shai Arogeti - Control Systems Laboratory 

​The Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME) offers a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. The aim of the program is to provide students with expertise and advanced knowledge in a selected field of specialization.

Students graduating with a M.Sc. degree are equipped to assume senior R&D positions in industry and may continue towards Ph.D. studies.  M.Sc. studies in Mechanical Engineering can be extended into a combined Ph.D. track, such that the Ms. thesis serves also as the Ph.D. candidacy exam. Areas of specialization in the Mechanical Engineering M.Sc. program include: Robotics, Control, Autonomous Systems, Solid Mechanics, Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Fluid Mechanics, Energy Technologies, Bio inspired Materials and Systems, Micro and Nano-Electromechanical Systems, System Design and Monitoring and Particular materials Technology.

M.Sc. Requirements:

» A B.Sc. degree in Mechanical Engineering or in closely related fields from an accredited institution, at a minimum GPA of 80/100 according to the Israeli grading system.

» A TOEFL score of at least 85/120 or the equivalent score in an internationally recognized English proficiency exam is required. The English proficiency requirement is waived for applicants who received their B.Sc. degree in a program taught in English.

» GRE is recommended but not required.

» An international applicant should contact a potential advisor from the Department of ME prior to applying to the M.Sc. program.  In order to assist you in finding an advisor, please visit the BGU Research Portal​.

 

 

Mandatory documents for preliminary consideration:

» A copy of the applicant's undergraduate diploma

» A copy of the applicant's academic transcripts

» A copy of the applicant's  TOEFL/IETLS score

» Two letters of recommendation from faculty members who are familiar with the applicant's academic work and skills. These should be sent by the recommender directly to foreign_reg@bgu.ac.il

» A copy of the first page of your passport

» Your class ranking in your department's graduating class (if applicable)

» A copy of your CV
