(Yelisvetgrad 1921 - Tel Aviv 2010)

Rapoport was a dedicated collector of works of Hebrew poetry. He acquired his love of Hebrew culture at his parents' home and at the “Tarbut” (Culture) School in Vilna.

He immigrated to Israel at the age of 13 and began working for the Israel Electric Corporation, where he was employed until his retirement.

He expressed his great love of Hebrew poetry by collecting approximately 5000 books of poetry with publication dates ranging from the 1920s until the end of the century.

The Rapoport Collection was donated to the Archives in its entirety.

The collection includes many rare works and represents the broad variety of literary creation.
