Abstract:
Preference reversals are among the most important results in the field of behavioral economics, dating back to Kahneman and Tversky's work on loss/gain frames.  Starting in 1992, my colleagues and I have worked on preference reversals between when options are judged separately versus jointly, with the conclusion that joint decision making leads to more deliberative choice.  The current talk will overview more recent research documenting that join decision making leads to more ethical choices.
