Prof. David
Brock: “Proof of Excellence and Recognition”
Prof. David Brock from the Department of Business Administration at the Guilford Glazer
Faculty of Business and Management (GGFBM) at Ben-Gurion University of the
Negev, has been invited to serve a second term on the editorial board of Journal
of Management Studies (JMS), currently ranked by ISI Journal Citation
Reports © as 6th among the world’s top 120 Business journals. Such
elite journals scrutinize their searches for the most suited editorial board
members, meaning Prof. Brock is one of few selected out of thousands of the
journal’s top authors and reviewers.
Prof. Brock’s
prime areas of research are global strategy and the management of professional
service firms, making him an alluring academic that scientific journals seek
out. Apart from JMS, he has served on the editorial board of Journal
of International Management – one of the top journal in the International
Business field – since 2010; and he is frequently asked to referee submissions
to other top journals.
Prof. Brock is
also an International Research Fellow at of the University of Oxford’s Saïd Business School. He is invited annually to present his papers
at Oxford as well as at the Academy of Management – the largest and leading
academic conference for all management scholars.
Moreover,
Prof. Brock is founding Editor-in-Chief of the Journal
of Professions and Organization which, within 3 years, has entered the ABDC’s
journal ranking list at level A. JPO is now
listed in the Thomson Reuters Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) pending

year, Prof. Brock was notified that his paper “Professions and institutional change: Towards an
institutionalist sociology of the professions” (with coauthors Daniel Muzio, Newcastle University, UK and Roy Suddaby, Roy Suddaby, University of Victory, Canada) was selected among the
winners of the 2016 Citations of Excellence Awards of the Emerald Group Publishing, endowed to the 50 highest cited papers
in the areas of Business Management, Finance, Accounting, Economics and
Marketing.
