The Senate and Steering Committee of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev recently approved the establishment of the School of Public Health at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
The school will bring together under one roof and a single administrative structure the existing Department of Public Health (including Epidemiology, Sociology of Health, and Gerontology), the Department of Health Systems Management, and the Master's program in Emergency and Disaster Management.
Establishment of the new School is an important part of the Faculty's ongoing strategic process. It's vision was formulated as part of the strategic process and it will operate based on principles of interdisciplinary, national and international collaborations, ground-breaking research and education, and a focus on society and the individual.
The search of a School director will begin soon.
