PharmacyA new and innovative Masters track in the School of Pharmacy at the Faculty of Health Sciences has been approved recently by the Council for Higher Education.

In recent years we are witness to new developments in the general philosophy of the pharmaceutical profession in Israel and patient treatment. The dominant trend today favors “holistic” treatment by a multidisciplinary team of doctors from all health professions including the pharmacist.

As part of this trend, the new track takes these developments into account. Students can focus on communal, clinical pharmacy as consultants or inspectors, managing and guiding regulatory processes upon which the pharmaceutical market is based, and to find employment in hospitals, health funds, pharmaceutical companies, biotech companies, health organizations and private and institutional pharmacies.

According to Prof. Shimon Ben Shabat, head of the School of Pharmacy, “This is a high quality and innovative track that is tailored to the times, and provides students with the appropriate abilities and tools to find employment in all of the modern sub-fields offered in the pharmacy field.”

Students will graduate with an M-Pharm.
