Welcome to admissions at the
Medical School for International Health!
Congratulations on your decision to apply to medical
school! This can be a time-consuming and intimidating process. We have tried to
make the process individualized and interactive. While the majority of your medical training
will take place on the campus of Ben-Gurion University of the Negev in Beer
Sheva, Israel, the admissions office is located in New York, NY. Our small and
dedicated team will personally guide you through the application process. The close attention and availability or our team is representative of the culture you will experience at MSIH.
With a mission to provide a medical education that
focuses on the interface between global health and community and preventive
medicine, we seek applicants from all nationalities who wish to prepare
themselves for careers in global health and population-based medicine. MISH
looks at each applicant as an individual. We seek outstanding students with the
academic preparation, maturity, and commitment to master a rigorous medical
school curriculum. In selecting applicants, we give consideration to academic
excellence (indicated through GPA and standardized test scores), recommendations,
extracurricular experiences, life experiences, personal growth, maturity, and

incorporates global health components into all four years of the curriculum,
the MSIH Admissions Committee also gives merit to applicants who exhibit a
strong interest in global medicine, working with diverse and underserved
populations, and knowledge of multiple languages and cultures.
