Tenure Track Faculty Position Opening – Call for Applications
 
The Software and Information Systems Engineering Department at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Israel (http://www.ise.bgu.ac.il) is in significant expansion. This expansion includes a number of open tenure-track faculty positions that are readily available. Outstanding candidates are invited to apply for these positions and successful candidates are expected to start working in the near future (0-2 years).

Software and Information Systems Engineering - About

The Software and Information Systems Engineering Department is the largest of its kind in Israel. Currently the department includes 19 full time faculty members in various research fields related to Software and Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, with special emphasis and orientation towards Data Science Engineering.
 
We offer B.Sc. degrees in Information Systems Engineering and in Software Engineering, as well as graduate studies (M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees) including special M.Sc degree with concentrations in Cyber-Security, Data Science and Artificial Intelligence. We have about 400 undergraduate that are expected to double in the near future, and about 120 graduate students, including about 40 Ph.D students. The teaching language is Hebrew.

Candidates

Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems Engineering [NT1] Computer Science, or closely related fields; have a strong academic track records, and must demonstrate the potential to achieve excellence in research and teaching at both graduate and undergraduate levels. In particular, we are strongly interested in candidates from the following fields: Software Engineering, Natural Language Processing (NLP), Data Science (Data Mining and Machine Learning), Human-Computer Interaction, Cyber-Security, Artificial Intelligence, Information Retrieval, and Biomedical Informatics. We are also happy to consider candidates from other sub fields.
