Recently, we investigated the internal representation of limb kinetics during split belt locomotion. We used a state of the art split belt treadmill with force plate and analyzed the ground reaction forces as well as the center of pressure.

Research Interests: Intermittent Control.
My current projects focus on the Intermittent Control aspects in the motor system and its relevancy to motor synergies, perception of mechanical properties during telemanipulation and the possible role of the center of mass in unconstrained point-to-point reaching movement and object manipulation.

We study the brain's control mechanism in walking with emphasis on the role of the center of mass. Our hypothesis is that shifting the center of mass location will cause subjects' walking pattern to alter accordingly. Confirming this hypothesis will give further insights to the way the brain controls locomotion and would provide a new, useful and simple rehabilitation technique for different walking disabilities.
