Two undergraduate students from the Department of Industrial Engineering & Management, Adi Rosolio and Oshra Somer, have been awarded this year’s scholarship for the project management of “Planning and Developing a nano-satellite – NegevSat”, under the supervision of Dr. Israel Tirkel, from the Project Management Institute – Israel Chapter. The project is part of a larger one with additional departments in the Faculty of Engineering Sciences and the Department of Geography and Environmental Development.
The Institute offers one scholarship a year for undergraduate final projects. The two were also invited to present their project, upon its completion, at the organization’s annual conference.

Currently there is no documented process for managing nano-satellite projects, so this is a unique opportunity.
