BGU has launched a new website in Chinese which outlines its graduate study programs. The portal offers initial information in Chinese about BGU’s graduate programs and directs interested students to further sources of information.

“As part of our efforts to enhance and expand our ties with Chinese academia, to foster research collaborations as well as attract outstanding Chinese students for Masters, PhD and post-docs to Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, we have just launched this website, which will increase our exposure in China,” according to Dr. Stavi Baram, Director of the Office of International Academic Affairs

The University offers a number of fully-funded unique programs. “With the support of the Israel Council for Higher Education, we offer full scholarships for outstanding Chinese candidates who would like to study for their Masters at The Albert Katz International School for Desert Studies, focusing on Desert Studies or Hydrology and Water Research. There’s also a one month summer course,” she says. “There’s another fully funded international summer course in the field of Global Health, which will take place this July.”

Fully funded programs are also offered in Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Life Sciences and Geological and Environmental Sciences. Subsides are available for the Israel Studies International Program as well.

Other international programs taught in English include the Medical School for International Health in affiliation with Columbia University Medical Center and the M.Sc. In Information Systems Engineering with focus on Data Mining and Business Intelligence (BI).

BGU is a comprehensive university, ranked #39 in the QS University ranking Top 50 Under 50 and offers a wide range of fields in which students can study towards a PhD degree.
