Dr. Sarah Abu-Kaf

Dr. Sarah Abu-Kaf of the Conflict Management and Resolution Program has been appointed to the public committee that oversees the expansion of the “Health Services Basket” for 2015. The committee held its first meeting last week.

The committee will prioritize new drugs and medical technologies for potential inclusion.

The committee will discuss 600 requests which come to more than NIS 2 billion. The committee has a budget of NIS 300 million.

The 18 members of the committee come from all walks of life as well as professional fields.

Dr. Abu-Kaf is the first Bedouin clinical psychologist.
