When Prof. Neve Gordon and Dr. Catherine Rottenberg travel to the UK for two years, neither one will have to put their career on hold for the other. That’s because both of them were awarded prestigious EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions - Research Fellowships.
קתרין רוטנברגRottenberg, from the Department of Foreign Literatures and Linguistics and the Gender Studies Program, will spend two years at Goldsmiths, University of London where she will research the rise of neo-liberal feminism. Rottenberg’s study focuses on how balancing successful careers and families has become a new feminist ideal.
 
ניב גורדוןGordon, from the Department of Politics and Government, will spend two years at SOAS in London, where he will research the history and politics of human shields. The study will examine the practice from the US Civil War and up through the current civil conflicts in Syria and Iraq.
 
 
About 8,000 fellowship applications were received this year and only 5% were granted.
