With army bases, global organizations, investors and startups moving south, the region is slowly making its way into Israel’s innovation map. Hundreds of participants will gather to learn about the opportunities and procedures necessary throughout this journey, while trying to understand how to maximize the great potential. There will be three parts to the event, the first being a panel lead by Prof. Dana Schwartz. Panel members include Prof. Dan Blumberg, the Deputy Vice-President and Dean for Research and Development at BGU; Yoav Tzruya, Partner at JVP Cyber Labs; Maya Hoffman Levi, EMC Site Leader; and Adva Eshel Rabinovich, Head of the Department for Negev Development. At the event, the final projects of the Department of Management will be presented, who were assisted by the Bengis Center. Afterwards, winners of the center’s business plan competition “From Idea to Business” will be announced.
