Earn credits and gain hands-on research experience working alongside a BGU faculty member during 3 to 12 months internship. The program aims to provide a flexible tailor-made framework. Students from diverse academic backgrounds, both undergraduate and graduate, can conduct their internship within BGU and outside of the university, through practical work assignments and experience. We will help you find a host with research interests that matches your academic background and goals. The program will be supervised by the Academic coordinator of the Ginsburg-Ingerman Overseas Student Program and professional supervisors. Internship can be conducted in all 6 BGU faculties, in all fields of research.
The student should have at least one year of academic experience and submit the following required documents:
- Official copy of your Transcript of Study
- 1 Academic Recommendation Letter
- Personal Statement/Motivation Letter
- A digital photograph (JPG)
- Copy of Passport
There might be additional requirements upon the academic host request.
Under the supervision of the professional supervisors, students may typically assigned to some or all of the following responsibilities: review literature, undertake research in a particular subject area, collect information on topics related to the subject area, organize data and documents, guide and participate in on-going research projects.
Credits & certificate
In order to receive credit for this program the student should set the framework with the academic advisor, prior to the beginning of the internship. Student may gain credits depending on their working hours per week. Student will fulfill different academic requirements along the internship period such as submitting progress reports. Upon successful completion of the program, the student will receive an official transcript.
Suggested Services On campus housing – optional and according to duration of Internship
Health Insurance – $1.75 per day (may change) - through the Harel Yedidim Insurance company and subjected to their requirements and regulations.
Trips and Activities – per event.
For students receiving MASA scholarship, all the above components are mandatory and added to the cost of the Internship.

Length of Program
The program can be set from 3 to 12 months according to the agreement between the student and the academic host.

Application Fee: $60
Administrative Fee: $600 (Including Full Access Student Card up to 6 months)
On-campus housing (Beer Sheva Campus): $450 per month (or part of a month)
Full Access Student Card: $125 for additional 6 months.
