​Mailing Lists

Mailing lists are lists of addresses of people who share common interests,
used for distributing messages between their subscribers
)aka discussion list). There are zillion of such lists over the net,
covering almost any subject one can think of. There are a few list servers,
the best known of which is Listserv, each with its own
peculiar rules for subscribing/unsubscribing.
 
 
In BGU we have some 40 active lists, serving all kind of purposes.
The local ones, like bgu-comp, are managed by SmatList
(Web disabled), running on a local server.
The global ones and the ones that preferred running on a
Web enabled list server, are managed by Listserv, running on a global,
Web enabled, server at the Technion.

 BGU-COMP is about Computer Related issues.
Please, don't use this list for any other subjects like
selling apartments - use BGU-TALK instead.

BGU-NEWS is about BGU news bulletin.
It is an occasional electronic newsletter produced
once every 6-8 weeks by the Department of Public Affairs
about developments and events at the University.

BGU-RESC is about BGU Research Center.

FOR THOSE NOT IN THE LIST BUT WISHING TO SUBSCRIBE,
HOW TO SUBSCRIBE TO BGU-RESC:
Open an Internet browser and go to the address:
http://lists.bgu.ac.il/mailman/listinfo/bgu-resc
and proceed to "Subscribing to Bgu-resc".
You need to give your email address
and to pick a password (you'll need it for using various functions of the list),
then to re-enter this password, and click "Subscribe".
