The Dean of Students Office assists students in solving academic problems arising during the course of studies. Students who are unable to find a solution to academic problems in a specific Department or Faculty are eligible to contact the Dean to request intervention. The Dean of Students will determine if the incident requires his intervention and will act accordingly.
1. Students, who have academic problems, are requested to contact the Unit for Student Advancement in order to receive study assistance and to participate in study skill workshops.
2. Students with learning disabilities can receive assistance from tutors who are outstanding students and participate in study skill workshops. Those interested are asked to contact the Unit for Student Advancement in the Dean of Students Office so that they can be referred to the most suitable tutor. Payment for lessons is subsidized.
3. Arab students are eligible for study aid. An academic counselor will help the students in coping with various problems by preparing a study plan and arranging lessons and a tutor, and in acquiring study skills. Those interested can contact the counselor for Arab students in the Unit for Student Advancement in the Dean of Students Office.
